Rustic Bacon Toast

Remove the pavé rustique from the package, slightly wet the top for extra crispiness and bake for 16 to 18 minutes at 190 - 200°C. Let de bread cool down for 15 minutes.
Cut thick slices of the pavé and sprinkle with olive oil, spiced with laurel and garlic. Add a slice of bacon and place thin slices of fresh tomato on top. Add some small cubes of red onion and finish with freshly ground pepper and salt. Grill for 2 minutes. You could dress with basil leaves to add colour to your presentation.
